Solution
Over the course of a challenging 3-month production cycle, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the game’s design, including research, ideation, and prototyping.
One of the first steps in the process was conducting thorough research to identify the needs and preferences of our target audience. By analyzing player data and performing market research, I developed a clear concept for the new game, that utilized market-proven mechanics ( e.g. collectible card system used for acquiring and upgrading player equipment ).
With a solid understanding of our target audience and their preferences, we moved into the ideation phase of the project. This involved brainstorming ideas for the game’s core mechanics, visual design, and overall theme. I played a key role in leading this process, collaborating with the development team to evaluate the most promising ideas and refine them into a cohesive vision for the game.
Once we had a clear concept for the game, we began prototyping and testing our ideas to see how they would play out in practice. This involved creating rough sketches, wireframes, and early builds of the game, which we tested rigorously with a group of playtesters. Based on their feedback, we iterated on the design, tweaking mechanics and adjusting visuals.
Finally, as we moved toward launch, I worked closely with the development team to ensure that the game was polished and ready for release. This involved overseeing final testing, tweaking gameplay mechanics
